Wiring
The Lights come with short +ve and -ve wires on the rear of the unit for your electrician, or an auto electrician, to wire up to your forklift as required. Some customers wire them so that they come on with the machine’s ignition so that they are always on, others add a switch so that the operator can turn them on and off as required. Every customer has different requirements so please have your electrician wire up to suit your unique operational needs.
Mounting
- Holes available/drilled in Forklift: Use Stainless Steel Mounting Brackets (included) and Stainless Steel Bolts (included)
- Holes not available in Forklift: Use Stainless Steel Mounting Brackets (included) but remove the Stainless Steel Bolts and fasten the Zone Light to forklift cage with Stainless Steel Hose Clamps instead (not included).
- Typically mounted and adjusted so Distance “A” is 0.5m – 1.5m away from Forklift
- Hanging Height refers to the height above the ground. Typically the light is mounted on top of the forklift so Hanging Height is set by forklift height.
- Beam Length refers to Dimension “B”.
- Beam Thickness is how ‘fat’ the beam is on the ground, i.e. the higher the light the more it spreads, diffuses and hence the fatter it is.
- Lux is the measure of illuminance.
